Sonoma County Climate Action Plans & Greenhouse Gas Emmissions Inventories

Objective: Work closely with municipal governments and the Climate Protection Campaign to develop Community Climate Action Plans (www.coolplan.org) for reducing county greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to 25% below 1990 levels by 2015.

Result: In addition to modeling historical and projected energy use and identifying GHG reduction strategies for municipal buildings and facilities, Sage provided research, calculations, and systems recommendations for reducing agricultural emissions by more than 600,000 tons of eCO2 per year. The complete report, including the Agricultural Sector of the County GHG Inventory that Sage authored, can be found at: www.climateprotectioncampaign.org

Feedback: “I have worked with David on several projects and his work ethic, knowledge of complex systems, problem solving, and clear writing style on technical topics is superior. He has been a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to do so again." -- Ann Hancock, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Climate Protection Campaign
