McEvoy Ranch Solar Thermal Project

Objective: Assist the McEvoy Olive Ranch offset the use of up to 20,000 gallons of propane per year for process hot water heating.  The Ranch uses a significant amount of hot water in the propagation of olive trees and in the olive oil processing facility.

Result:  Sage is currently serving as project manager for a commercial scale, 240 kW solar thermal project at the ranch. Sage is also working closely with Ranch staff to incorporate energy efficiency measures and redesigning the process water handling for the olive facility and proposed winery.

Services: Sage's responsibilities include feasibility study, conceptual system design, visual renderings, financial and performance modeling, incentives applications, RFP management, vendor and equipment selection, contract negotiation, implementation support, and commissioning oversight.
