Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Feasibility Study

Sage evaluated historical and projected energy use, identified and quantified energy efficiency opportunities, and financially modeled recommended measures for the Robert Giacomini Dairy, a 690-acre certified organic dairy and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese creamery on the eastern shore of Tomales Bay, in Marin County, CA. Sage also produced a renewable energy feasibility study to analyze the comparative viability of a 100 kW wind turbine, a 130 kW photovoltaic system, and a methane digester with a 30 kW micro-turbine generator.
