Solar PV & Energy Efficiency Project for San Mateo Union High School District

Objective: Serve as the district’s energy consultant on a program that includes a $30 million solar PV project to be installed on six campuses.

Result: Working on a tight schedule to coordinate with other improvements currently being implemented by the district, Sage evaluated the district’s historical energy use and proposed energy plan, and advised the district on cost-saving options and provided support through the PV bidding process. Working with construction managers Greystone West and architects Quattrocchi Kwok Architects, Sage continues to assist with construction oversight and incentives.

Services: Sage provided historical usage assessment, initial PV systems design, solar hot water conceptual design, financial and performance modeling, RFP development and vendor selection, CSI rebate management, CREBs applications, and energy efficiency program management.
