6.1MW Solar PV Project, William S Hart UHSD

Objective: Provide technical and financial expertise to the William S. Hart Union High School District in evaluating a proposed 8.7 MW PPA financed solar PV project.

Result: Based on Sage's modeling and vendor negotiations, the proposed total system size was reduced from 8.7 MW to 6.1 MW, but the lifetime savings to the District were increased by $5.4M. The final contract also included a side agreement for the District to share in revenue generated by sale of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs). 

Services:  Sage provided energy and financial expertise to the District's legal team for review of a PPA contract for 8.7 MW of solar PV systems proposed at eleven District campuses.  This included evaluation of the vendor's pricing and savings claims, review of the PPA contract terms, and detailed modeling of the vendor's systems and financing.  Sage also provided analysis and guidance on Direct Access energy contracts under consideration by the District.
