Mr. Williard has more than 15 years of experience as a professional energy consultant, with a focus on the development of technical and financial models that are now widely used to assess renewable energy systems and to predict potential energy generation and financial performance, serving as CEO since Sage’s inception.
Mr. Johnson has 22 years of experience as a Civil-Environmental Engineer, with 10 years in the renewable energy sector. During his time at Sage, he has developed custom financial and energy modeling tools and managed all aspects of renewable generation and storage projects including feasibility studies, system design, project bids and construction, commissioning, asset management, and environmental credits management.
Mr. Williard is a founder and Principal at Sage Renewables. He has over 22 years of experience working as a professional environmental consultant, with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy generation for the past fourteen years. David has managed all aspects of renewable energy projects, from planning and feasibility through implementation and operations for over 70 public and private clients.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Schmit is a successful executive with extensive experience in energy-related manufacturing, service, and consulting companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 corporations. At Sage, he leads the growth initiatives for the company, works on selected projects that leverage his specialized experience, and guides internal operations to achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
Mr. Jolley has over 15 years of experience as a Civil/Environmental Engineer and has dedicated his career to the advancement of renewable energy and sustainable development. He has held positions in academic R&D, Public Service, and the Private sector. He is an experienced engineer, business developer, strategist, and project/program manager.
Mr. Fuss has 9 years of experience in renewable energy with a focus on solar asset management, project finance, and financial modeling. Mr. Fuss joined Sage in 2015 and has led the development of Sage’s Solar Asset Management division, which focuses on auditing and improving the operational and financial performance of existing renewable energy projects.
Ms. Coe joined Sage in January 2018, building on 22 years of experience as an environmental consultant, including 15 years as a senior project manager (PM) and principal investigator (PI). With Sage, Ms. Coe manages solar energy development projects for municipal and other government agencies. These projects involve unique issues such as multi-organizational teams, special contract requirements, or risk of scope creep.
Mr. Guttikonda is a project manager with a background in energy engineering and urban planning. His experience includes quantitative and qualitative analysis of renewable technologies, energy efficiency analysis, urban scale energy systems and sustainability strategies. In his time at Sage, he has managed solar and storage feasibility/planning studies, worked on solar PV design and utility interconnection, and analyzed operational performance of constructed systems.
Energy Data Scientist and Efficiency Expert
Dr. Devkota is a civil engineer with a background in energy efficiency, life‑cycle assessment, hydropower, and environmental modeling. At Sage, he models solar, battery storage, microgrid, and other energy systems. Jay also performs ASHRAE energy audits and performs efficiency analyses.
Project Manager, Design & Construction
Mr. Moore has fifteen years of experience in the construction industry, including eleven in the energy and solar PV sector. As a project team Construction Lead, Mr. Moore has implemented numerous PV installations in California, Nevada and Hawaii for various solar EPCs, government agencies, military branches, utilities, school districts, and private clients.
Mr. Dobbs is a programmer with a background in applied mathematics and physics. He has worked with machine learning algorithms for the ATLAS project at CERN and utilized Python to simulate particle showers. He earned his B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Sonoma State University, where he conducted research involving the electromagnetic properties of single crystals and analyzation of defects on thin films.
Sam has 15 years of experience as an engineer, consultant, project manager and executive in the water resources, hazardous waste, recycling and environmental services industries. Prior to joining Sage, he lived and worked in Singapore, where he focused on developing and directing business operations in the Southeast Asia region for a local firm in the environmental and waste services industries. His past experience includes acquiring and restructuring a hazardous waste management firm with operations across the US and Asia Pacific. Prior to that he founded and operated a consultancy focused on facilities engineering and management services for the semiconductor industry. Sameer has a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago.
